What is expected of someone who says they are “selling my home”and are moving out? Once you have removed all your personal items, belongings, and trash from the premises, please remember to do the following before showing others your home:
- Clean all appliances inside and out, same goes for the cabinets. Clean sink and counter tops.
- The carpets should be professionally cleaned.

- If you have a pool make sure it’s been treated and is clear.
- Clean out washer and dryer inside and out.
- Sweep porches and patios.
- Don’t forget to have your mail forwarded to your new address. This can be done online!
- Make sure to cancel your cable and return your equipment.
- Cancel your water and electric for the day after your closing as they must be on for the buyers walk through. If you close on a Friday you must leave them on for the weekend and have them shut it off the next Monday.
