So you have saved your money for the down payment and the closing costs to purchase a new home. But a lot of people forget the expenses that come up after the purchase.
First and foremost – furniture. A lot of times your living room and or bedroom furniture is either too big or you don’t have enough. A washer, dryer, or refrigerator may not come with the property so you may have an appliance expense.
You may have pets or children that you will need the security of a fence.
If you were used to renting, you may not have any lawn equipment so that’s a big one as well.
People normally take their curtains and you may need blinds. You may want to change out some of the plumbing fixtures such as the shower head; or you may want a few flowers, or more bushes maybe. If you needed all this it could amount to quite a bit, so save as much as you can!
